Belarus and Russia have plans to harmonize scientific and technical regulations in the field of construction, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia Yelena Sierra told reporters at the meeting with specialists of Belgosproyekt Institute, BelTA reports. “Together with our partners from the Architecture and Construction Ministry of Belarus we have outlined a number of issues that have to be resolved, so that from 1 January 2015 our construction and development companies could operate without obstacles both in Russia and Belarus. For that we need to create the most comfortable operation conditions and harmonize scientific and technical regulations. This is the major objective of our visit,” Yelena Sierra said.
According to her, the construction ministries of Belarus and Russia agreed to set up a number of working groups and drafted an action plan to fulfill the tasks. The ultimate goal is to ease administrative procedures and remove all possible obstacles impeding the efficient operation of construction companies on the territory of the two countries, Yelena Sierra noted.
