Belarus’ Independence Day and the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders will be celebrated in Moscow, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia reports. A flower laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the memorial signs "Minsk Hero City” and “Brest Fortress Hero” near the Kremlin wall wil be held in the morning of 2 July. It will be attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko, diplomats, members of the Union State Permanent Committee and the Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of the public and veterans' organizations Moscow, cadets of military schools.
The same day the Belarusian diplomatic mission will give an official reception. It is expected to be attended by prominent political and public figures of Russia, ambassadors of foreign countries, representatives of the business community, figures of culture and arts.
