Belarusian-Israeli documentary to feature at Haifa International Film Festival

The Belarusian-Israeli documentary movie Memory Keepers is to be shown at the Haifa International Film Festival in October 2014, BelTA quotes director of the movie Boris Maftsir. The documentary was made by Nonstop Media (Belarus) and Zvi Shefy Productions (Israel). 

The general public will be able to see the movie at the start of 2015. This autumn the movie will take part in a number of festivals and private viewings. The movie will also premiere in Belarus. 

Boris Maftsir noted that when he started working on the movie about the Holocaust, he never thought that it would become the first step towards a movie series. “We collected so much material that we will hardly be able to enclose it into one movie. The idea to shoot a movie about the catastrophe in Belarus has translated into plans to launch a large-scale movie project,” the director said.
