The procedure of Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty will be completed by 1 July, Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tatiana Valovaya told a press conference in Moscow, BelTA has learned.
“Armenia has created a good market structure. The Armenian economy is compatible with the economies of the other Customs Union member states,” Tatiana Valovaya noted.
She specified that Armenia will accede to the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty at once. As for Kyrgyzstan, who is another candidate for joining the integration processes initiated by Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan, the country is currently implementing the roadmap for its accession to the Customs Union. Tatiana Valovaya noted that Kyrgyzstan has much more work to do in order to join the troika. “Kyrgyzstan shares a border with the Customs Union. Therefore it is very important to prevent entering of illegal goods across this border,” she said and added that a roadmap for Kyrgyzstan's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union will be developed later.
Besides, Tatiana Valovaya said that Tadzhikistan is another candidate for accession to the union.
