The Great Victory will always unite the people of Belarus and Russia. The statement was made by Valery Gaidukevich, Chairman of the Security, Defense, and Crime Control Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, Chairman of the National Security Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, at the science and practice conference held to discuss topical problems of the development of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in view of the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders, BelTA reports.
The parliamentarian said that the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders are extremely important and truly significant dates for the member states of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Secured during that war, the victory will always unite, make the two nations and the two states closer, noted Valery Gaidukevich. “It is our common history, common memory about the combat brotherhood and heroism of fathers and grandfathers, who fought for the freedom and independence of the Motherland,” said the MP.
