Belarusian companies triumphant at CIS quality excellence contest

       Six Belarusian companies have become laureates and winners at the 2013 CIS quality excellence contest, the press service of the State Standardization Committee of Belarus told media.
The number includes Gomselmash, Babushkina Krynka, Krasnoselskstroymaterialy, Conte Spa (Grodno), Rogachev Milk Canning Plant, and the Republican Research Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology (Gomel).
       The winners of the prestigious contest also included companies from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Ukraine.
      The CIS quality excellence awards are bestowed every two years upon CIS companies for achieving significant accomplishments in the quality of products and services, for making safe products, and for assimilating modern quality management methods.
       Any CIS-registered corporation that makes merchandise (except for armaments and military hardware) or provides services can take part in the contest. Contenders have to confirm the quality of their products for at least two years and have to export their products to at least two CIS states.
