Belarus, Lithuania ink memorandums on investment projects worth þ130m

      Memorandums on cooperation involving Lithuanian capital to the tune of 130 million euro were signed in Minsk as a result of the joint session of the Belarusian and Lithuanian business councils for economic and trade cooperation.
      Those are investment projects in the sphere of food industry, alternative power engineering, and the construction of trade, sport and entertainment facilities.
The Lithuanian company ZAO Arvi expressed its interest in buying and reconstructing a protein factory in the town of Belynichi, the possible construction of a combined feed factory, farms to raise and fatten turkeys in addition to a slaughterhouse.
        Vladimir Koleda, Chairman of the Business Council for Economic and Trade Cooperation between Belarus and Lithuania, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of OAO BPS-Sberbank, said that all these projects are trilateral ones. Apart from the bank and Lithuanian companies the Minsk Oblast administration and the Mogilev Oblast administration will take part in them. The implementation of investment projects worth $100 million began in Belarus with assistance of Lithuanian partners.
