Belarus to export more passenger vehicles to Leningrad Oblast

Belarus has plans to increase the export of passenger vehicles to Leningrad Oblast. The matter was discussed at the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko with Leningrad Oblast Governor Alexander Drozdenko in Saint Petersburg.

 

 

The participants of the meeting reviewed the implementation of cooperation agreements signed between Belarus and Leningrad Oblast. They said they were satisfied with the results. Top on the agenda was trade and economic cooperation, including plans to increase supplies of Belarus-made passenger vehicles to Leningrad Oblast. They discussed prospects to involve Belarusian companies in construction projects on the territory of Leningrad Oblast. The parties shared views on cooperation prospects in agriculture, including supplies of pedigree stock from Leningrad Oblast to Belarus.

 

 

An agreement was reached to hold another session of Belarus-Leningrad Oblast cooperation commission at the end of April. The commission is co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Prokopovich and Leningrad Oblast Governor Alexander Drozdenko.

 

 

In January-November 2013 the trade between Belarus and Leningrad Oblast was estimated at $496.8 million.
