Belarus presents tourism potential at international expo in Vilnius


       The presentation of the tourism potential of Belarus was held at the opening ceremony of the international tourism exhibition Adventur 2014 in Vilnius.
Belarus is taking part in the expo for the first time. The presentation featured Belarus’ historical and cultural heritage by the example of the National History and Culture Museum-Reserve Nesvizh and the Stalin Line complex. The attendees were introduced to Belarusian traditional arts and crafts, music and songs. The forthcoming ice hockey world championship was in the focus. The participants of the expo were informed about Belarus’ ice hockey achievements, ice palaces and arenas where the matches will be held, as well as accommodation and food for foreign ice hockey fans.
Taking part in the opening ceremony was Deputy Sports and Tourism Minister of Belarus Cheslav Shulga. The Belarusian booth was visited by Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Lithuania Alexander Korol and Lithuania’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belarus Evaldas Ignatavicius.
