Belarusian Prime Minister takes part in the session of the Union State Council of Ministers in Moscow

Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich took part in the session of the Union State Council of Ministers in Moscow. Speaking at the event, the PM emphasized that Belarus and Russia should put more efforts into joint investment projects. He noted that many barriers in bilateral trade have been removed; however, little progress has been made in integrating industrial and financial capital of the two countries. The Belarusian Premier noted that trade is an objective indicator of integration development. In 2012 it hit a record of $44 billion. However, the two countries need to ramp up efforts, because the bilateral trade is shrinking now, Mikhail Myasnikovich said. At the same time, Russia remains Belarus’ key trading partner. “The Belarusian society can see the benefits of the Union State integration,” the Belarusian Premier noted.
