Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent birthday greetings to Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
"It is a pleasure to see how, under your experienced leadership, fraternal Venezuela continues to confidently move along the path of building a just society, building up the national economic potential, improving the standard of living of citizens, strengthening its position and authority in the international arena," the congratulatory message reads.
The head of state expressed support for Caracas' steps within the framework of the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter initiated by Venezuela and assured that Belarus will remain a reliable partner of Venezuela and that Venezuela can always count on its support.
"In order to preserve the sovereignty of our states, it is important to ensure high dynamics of bilateral political contacts and more actively expand economic cooperation," the Belarusian leader stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Nicolas Maduro excellent health, fruitful work and success in the coming year 2024, a landmark year for the Venezuelan leader in connection with the presidential election.
