Belarus to attend IMF, WB Boards of Governors meetings in Washington

      A Belarusian delegation takes part in the annual meetings of the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Board of Governors of the World Bank Group (WBG) in Washington, the United States. Partaking in the meeting is Economy Minister, WBG Deputy Governor on Belarus’ behalf Nikolai Snopkov, Finance Minister Andrei Kharkovets, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Kalechits and others.
      The meeting highlights the issues within the purview of the Boards of Governors: the results of the activity of the IMF and the World Bank, working strategies of these international organizations as well as administrative issues related to the functioning of the two organizations.
        A number of related meetings and consultations will discuss a wide range of issues, including the implementation of the WBG partnership strategy with Belarus and the EBRD strategy for Belarus.
