Lukashenko: Ukraine, CU will remain partners after Ukraine signs association agreement with EU

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko does not see any problems in the association agreement to be signed between Ukraine and the European Union. The Belarusian President believes that Ukraine and the Customs Union will be able to come up with some cooperation scheme. Alexander Lukashenko made this statement as he met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov in Minsk.
Alexander Lukashenko believes that this matter is over-politicized. “It is important that this agreement and subsequent agreements should not impede Ukraine’s cooperation with the Single Economic Space and the Customs Union,” the Belarusian head of state believes.
The Belarusian President underlined that the Troika would like Ukraine to take part in all integration projects.
