Information minister, heads of national mass media lay flowers at Minsk Hero City Monument

Belarusian Information Minister Vladimir Pertsov, heads and representatives of the national mass media outlets laid flowers at the Minsk Hero City Monument on 5 May, BelTA has learned.

“On our professional holiday and on the eve of the Great Victory Day we have a good tradition: representatives of major mass media outlets and the Information Ministry visit one of the memorable sites symbolizing the Great Victory,” said Vladimir Pertsov.

The minister emphasized: “For the second year in a row we come to the Minsk Hero City Monument to lay flowers and pay tribute to those who gave their lives so that we could live under a peaceful sky. So that we could build our country, live without deprivation, without any hardships and all those horrors that were planned for us by those who came from the West with the fascist ideology to our land and destroyed a third of our population.”
