Belarus tractor production in Kazakhstan shows impressive growth

Further plans for joint production of Belarusian machinery, in particular Belarus tractors, in Kazakhstan were discussed during the working trip of Belarus Ambassador Pavel Utyupin to East Kazakhstan Region, BelTA informs citing the website of the Belarusian diplomatic mission. Belarus seeks to launch new joint projects and scale up existing joint projects in this region, to build cooperation with mechanical engineering and agricultural companies, to expand contacts with the local power vertical and to support the Belarusian diaspora.

On the first day of his working trip, the Belarusian diplomat visited SemAZ, a manufacturer of agricultural machinery and trucks. The SemAZ facility in the city of Semey produces Belarus tractors of nine modifications. "The enterprise is of interest for the Belarusian mechanical engineering industry as it can ramp up the output of Belarus tractors and also start manufacturing farm machines from Belarusian kits.

SemAZ Director General Asemkan Duskuzhanov noted that in the first half of this year the plant produced as many tractors as last year. This is a good dynamics, since co-production creates jobs and generates taxes," the embassy said. According to Ambassador Pavel Utyupin, a decision was taken to set up a full-cycle production of cabins in Kazakhstan, which will be located at another site. The new facility will supply cabins to the plant in Semey. Thus, the localization of the tractor production will be deepened. The same approach will be applied to combine harvesters and other farm machines.
