Makei, Latvian Ambassador exchange views on Belarus-EU relations

          Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Popkovs at his request.
“During the meeting the parties reviewed the bilateral cooperation in 2012 in political, trade and economic fields. The parties reaffirmed the interest in maintaining the positive momentum in the development of relations between Belarus and Latvia in 2013. Particular attention was paid to the organization of joint activities by the foreign ministries of the two countries, and to the ways of expanding cooperation in transport-transit area. The parties exchanged views on topical issues of relations between the EU and Belarus,” the press service said.
