Mogilev - Belarus' Capital of Culture 2013 stamp dedicated in Mogilev

      The official First-Day-of-Issue dedication ceremony for the new stamp “Mogilev - Belarus' Capital of Culture 2013” took place at the Marriage Registration Hall in Mogilev.
"This is the first event in a series of events dedicated to the Capital of Culture nationwide campaign. The new stamp, I am sure, will be a collection item for philatelists as the last time the city of Mogilev or its coat of arms was featured on stamps was in 2005,” said Mogilev Mayor Stanislav Borodavka
       A special envelope has been issued in addition to the stamp, which features the coat of arms of Mogilev and a piece of a German engraving of the 18th century. The envelope designed by artists of the Marka publishing center of the Belpochta mail service has the circulation is 70,000 copies.
The envelope is illustrated with contemporary images of the Town Hall, St. Nicholas Cathedral, the building of the Maslenikov Regional Art Museum of Mogilev.
