Raubichi expects up to 50,000 visitors at 2015 IBU Youth/Junior World Championships

       The organizers of the 2015 IBU Youth/Junior World Championships expect up to 50,000 visitors to see the competitions in Raubichi, First Deputy Sport and Tourism Minister of Belarus Alexander Gagiyev told media. In his words, the last big biathlon tournament hosted by Raubichi (the European Biathlon Championships in 2004) was attended by nearly 70,000 fans. The organizers of the forthcoming event expect a smaller number of visitors since it is a junior competition.
      According to Alexander Gagiyev, the visit to the forthcoming world championships will be a pleasant surprise for those who have not been in Raubichi for long. The center has changed a lot since its renovation started in 2013. According to the international experts that paid a visit to the sport center, the current conditions in Raubichi meet the highest international standards.
