Rare World War I exhibits to be displayed at Mogilev Requiem

Rare World War I exhibits will be displayed at the Mogilev Requiem exhibition at the Mogilev Regional History Museum.

Last year, the whole world celebrated the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War 1914-1918 which has become one of the largest armed conflicts in the history of mankind. The exhibition will feature the photographs from periodicals and newsreels, documents, print publications, numismatics and medals, weapons, military accessories of the Russian and German armies, items of the military life from the museum's and private collections. The Emperor's manifesto on the coronation and the gold 10 ruble coin 1896 will be also on display.

The exhibition project is divided into thematic units that reflect the events and historical facts. During the First World War, hundreds of thousands of wounded and disabled persons needed help. Many civilians were displaced, thousands of children lost parents. The exhibition tells about the system of state, public and charitable assistance. The thematic union "Under the Aegis of the Red Cross" is dedicated to doctors and the sisters of charity.
