A possibility to liberalize road haulage has been discussed by representatives of transportation authorities of Belarus and Serbia at a session in Minsk, the press service of the Belarus Ministry of Transport and Communications reports. The Serbian delegation said it was not ready for total liberalization now, but noted that it is ready to consider liberalization of bilateral and transit road haulage. The parties agreed to discuss the matter later in order to find a mutually acceptable and mutually beneficial solution. The delegations agreed on the final quota of permits for international cargo transportation for 2014 and the preliminary quota for 2015, which is expected to be the same as in 2014. The participants of the talks expressed readiness to take the necessary steps to increase the scope of passenger transportation between the two countries. Besides, the parties agreed to exchange one-time permits for non-regular passenger transportation.
