Belarus and Tajikistan practice common approaches to resolving many topical problems of the modern age. The statement was made by Natalya Kislekova, Head of the Department for Central Asia of the Office for Bilateral Relations with CIS states of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, in her speech during the recent international science and practice conference at the CIS HQ in Minsk on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, BelTA reports. Belarus and Tajikistan fruitfully cooperate within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, support each other in the international scene. Tajikistan is a member of the Group of Friends United Against Human Trafficking that has been created upon Belarus’ initiative. According to the representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the operation of the Belarus-Tajikistan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation makes an important contribution to the development of the bilateral partnership. Belarus is interested in further advancement of mutually beneficial cooperation with Tajikistan and will do everything for the Belarusian-Tajik partnership to produce tangible benefits for both states, said Natalya Kislekova.
