Experts of six CIS countries have gathered in Minsk to discuss a roadmap for joint action on financial control, head of the main expert and legal department of the State Control Committee of Belarus Andrei Matyushenko told media. Partaking in the meeting are representatives of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Tajikistan.
According to Andrei Matyushenko, the working group was founded in 2010 following the decision of the 10th session of the CIS Council of Heads of Supreme Financial Control Bodies in Yerevan. The working group was set up to elaborate system-based methodological approaches to control and auditing activities with the use of state financial control (audit) standards. The work in this direction is not simple as documents that are to be developed should be universal and take into account the national peculiarities of the control and accounting bodies.
Today the activity of the working group is aimed at the development of standards such as external evaluation of the activity of the CIS supreme financial control bodies and the organization and holding of joint and parallel expert and analytical events of the CIS supreme financial control bodies. These standards are planned to be submitted for approval at the next session of the CIS Council of Heads of Supreme Financial Control Bodies slated for autumn 2015.
