      Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Elena Kupchina met with the Head of the EU Delegation to Belarus Ambassador Maira Mora.
      The parties discussed the development of relations between Belarus and the European Union.
Particular attention was paid to the preparation of the meeting between the Presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine, with the participation of representatives of the European Union due in Minsk on 26 August.
     Maira Mora commented on the development of bilateral relations between Belarus and the EU:

     I hope for more active participation of Belarus within the framework of bilateral projects and the Eastern Partnership Initiative. We have nothing to complain about as it is, but in bilateral relations we always have to agree on the programs with the requesting party, the Belarusian side. All programs have to secure Belarusian interest and comply with goals and priorities of the national development. We have approved three priorities for the next program period as agreed with the Belarusian partners.
