Belarusian athletes win four awards medals at a wrestling tournament in Germany

      Belarusian athletes won four awards (3 silver and 1 bronze) at international women’s freestyle wrestling tournament in Dormagen, Germany. In the weight category of up to 55 kg Yekaterina Gonchar was second. In the final she lost to wrestler from Canada Gillian Gallay (2:9). In the same weight a bronze medal was won by Belarusian Zalina Sidakova. 2013 European champion Anastasia Huchok (60 kg) on the way to the final defeated Canadian rivals Haley Hoeffel (13:2) and Justine Bouchard (4:0). In the semi-finals she easily defeated Charlotte Scow of the United States; however, she refused to participate in the showdown against Russian Zhargalma Tsyrenova taking the final 2nd place. Winner of world championships, repeated champion of Belarus Vasilisa Marzaliuk (75 kg) also advanced to the finals, beating Estonian Epp Mäe (14:7) and Russia's Alena Starodubtseva (8:5). In the battle for gold Marzaliuk with a difference of one point lost to athlete from Canada Erica Wiebe (4:5).
