Belarus seeks to increase export of potash fertilizers, tires to Malaysia

            Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Indonesia and Malaysia Vladimir Lopato-Zagorsky, Deputy Foreign Minister of Malaysia Hamzah Zainuddin, and Head of the Division for Europe Lim Kim Eng discussed the organization of high-level visits in 2014. The Ambassador and representatives of the Malaysian Foreign Ministry agreed to step up work on draft bilateral agreements. The Belarusian Ambassador met with representatives of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry and the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia to discuss the prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Malaysia including the increase of the Belarusian export of potash fertilizers and tires. The meeting at the Malaysian Medical Council touched upon the issues of cooperation with Belarus in education of Malaysian students at Belarusian medical universities. Vladimir Lopato-Zagorsky met with Deputy Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament Ronald Kiandee. The Belarusian Ambassador also held meetings with Chief of the Malaysian Royal Air Force General Rodzali bin Daud and former Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad.
