Belarus’ world number 2 Aryna Sabalenka downed world number 16 Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, to reach the Indian Wells quarterfinal, BelTA has learned.
Earlier, the Belarusian saw off Russia’s world number 427 Evgeniya Rodina and moved past Ukraine’s world number 95 Lesia Tsurenko. Aryna Sabalenka will next face world number 6 Coco Gauff of the United States.
The BNP Paribas Open, which is also known as the Indian Wells Masters, is held from 8 to 19 March 2023.
