CSTO mission offers proposals to de-escalate Armenia-Azerbaijan crisis, leaves for Moscow

The  CSTO mission advance team put forward proposals to de-escalate tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan and departed for Moscow, BelTA learned from the CSTO press service.

On 19 September, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia hosted a meeting to discuss the results of the work of the CSTO mission advance team. “Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, who head up the advance team, informed Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan about the analysis of the situation in certain areas on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the main findings and proposals,” the press service noted.

“A frank and constructive exchange of views took place. The proposals are aimed at de-escalating the tensions,” the press service stressed.

“After the meeting, the advance team left for Moscow,” the press service added.
