In 2021 agricultural enterprises of Belarus produced more than 7.588 million tons of milk, up 1.1% over 2020, BelTA learned from the official Telegram channel of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
The biggest growth was posted by Mogilev Oblast where milk production increased by 3.6%.
“Minsk Oblast produced 1.987 million tons of milk, more than any other region. Brest Oblast posted the biggest milk yield per cow – 6,569 kg. For comparison: the average yield is 5,412 kg,” the ministry noted.
According to the Agriculture and Food Ministry, agricultural organizations produce 97% of milk in the country.
