FC BATE’s Champions League group F rivals, Germany’s FC Bayern, Spain’s CF Valencia and France’s FC Lille, won their matches in the national championships over the weekend.
CF Valencia overpowered Atletico Madrid at home 2:0. Goals were scored by Roberto Soldado on 20 mi nutes and Nelson Haedo Valdez on the fourth minute of extra time. Valencia are still far from top of the La Liga table finding themselves on the 9th place with 14 points after 10 matches. BATE will face Valencia in Spain on 7 November after the 0:3 home defeat at Dinamo, Minsk, on 23 October.
FC Bayern Munchen did not leave Hamburger SV any chances in a stunning 0:3 away victory. FC Bayern top the Bundesliga table with 27 points after 10 games.
France’s FC Lille took on Evian Thonon Gaillard away to snatch a comprehensive 0:2 away victory with Nolan Roux and Florent Balmont scoring on 40th and 62nd minutes respectively. The victory helped Lille climb up the tournament table to the 8th spot. Lille now have 17 points after 11 matches.
