Minsk to host Eurasian forum of young scientists in December 2015

Minsk will host the first Eurasian forum of young scientists in December 2015, First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Chizhik said during the online conference hosted by the BelTA. Partaking in the event will be young scientists working in such fields as nano- and pharmaceutical biotechnologies, development of new materials for different functional purposes, and analysis of social and economic aspects of the integration processes (the Belarus-Russia Union State, the Customs Union, the Eurasian Economic Union, etc.) The participants will present results of their cross-disciplinary research at the forum.
Sergei Chizhik noted that the Eurasian forum will bring together, first of all, young scientists from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Armenia. He also emphasized that the year 2015 was declared the Year of Youth in Belarus. In this light, the National Academy of Sciences will pay special attention to young Belarusian scientists. “We realize the need to create for them the most favorable conditions that will foster the creative process,” Sergei Chizhik said.
