BCCI: Belarus, Ukraine will continue economic cooperation

Belarus and Ukraine will continue the economic cooperation, First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Vyacheslav Reut said ahead of the 4th session of the Belarusian-Ukrainian advisory council of business cooperation in Minsk, BelTA reports. "In January-October Belarus’ export to Ukraine was at the same level as a year earlier, while the export of Ukrainian goods to the Belarusian market has dropped significantly. Naturally, our Ukrainian partners are not happy about this situation, and we discuss what we can do to continue mutual cooperation and to support joint production facilities,” said Vyacheslav Reut. He stressed that today Ukraine is the second largest trading partner of Belarus. "We are as important for Ukraine. Of course, it is vital that the two countries maintain the volume of trade we had before and increase it,” said Vyacheslav Reut. According to him, the Belarusian-Ukrainian advisory council will be offered a presentation of the investment environment in Belarus and the possibilities of establishing joint ventures.
