Belarus calls for greater inclusion of developing nations in world economy management


       The participation of developing nations in the management of the world economy should be expanded. The relevant statement was made by the Belarusian delegation in the Second Committee of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reports.
       Igor Mishkorydnyi, a representative of the delegation, advisor of the Economic Cooperation and Sustainable Development Office of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, called upon the international community to expand the participation of developing nations in the administration of the world economy and the reformation of financial regulation mechanisms. He expressed interest in stepping up interaction between the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Bretton Woods institutions for the sake of raising the effectiveness and stability of the financial system, including the United Nations Organization.
      Apart from that, the diplomat spoke in positive terms about Belarus’ cooperation with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund for developing the national financial system.
