An international conference on European Quality of Distance Learning will take place in Minsk on 27-28 November, BelTA learnt from co-chairman of the event, CEO of Magna Carta College Oxford Vadzim Tsitou.
It is expected that the conference will be attended by heads and academic staff of higher educational establishments from Belarus and other CIS countries, the European Union and the UK, representatives of recruiting agencies and big Belarusian companies, students. “The talks will be focused on various aspects of distance learning as an opportunity for Belarusian people to secure a competitive edge on the labor market,” Vadzim Tsitou said.
The conference will be held as part of the country’s current public discussion of the further development of the education system and the efforts to increase the country’s export potential for education services. It is expected that the event will make a platform to establish business contacts, elaborate new cooperation ideas, implement educational professional projects. The forthcoming conference will be the next step following the 1st international forum European Quality Education (EQE-Forum) that was held in the Belarusian capital in April 2014. The forum was attended by more than 100 organizations and educational establishments from 11 countries. Five agreements were signed at the forum.
