Visa-free travels to bring more Israeli tourists to Belarus

The number of Israeli tourists travelling to Belarus is going to increase significantly after the abolition of visas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Belarus Yosef Shagal told reporters.
“It is clear that the introduction of visa-free travels will encourage more Israelis to visit Belarus. We really hope it will happen,” Yosef Shagal said. The diplomat explained that he means not only those Israelis who have relatives in Belarus, but also native-born Israelis who want to come to Belarus to learn more about this country.

The diplomat believes that visa-free travels will enable Belarus to intensify inbound eco-tourism and rural tourism dramatically.

Belarus and Israel are set to sign the visa abolition agreement in Minsk on 19 September. The agreement will come into force at the end of December 2014.
