1914 Revisited Festival offers sophisticated program for moviegoers



       The 1914 Revisited Festival dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War starts in Minsk Ithas prepared a sophisticated program for moviegoers, cinema expert Natalia Agafonova said at the opening ceremony of the festival at the Pobeda cinema house. The festival will feature unique genres - cinema musical and cinema opera. The program is unique in terms of film language. All of the movies date back to almost the beginning of the 20th century when the cinema was making its first steps. The program also features a block of the 1930s movies which became world classics, the movies of the 1980s which was a difficult era for cinema associated with a shift of styles. During the festival the audience will see the documentaries and feature films from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Czech Republic, the BSSR and USSR dedicated to the events of 1914-1918. The festival was organized with the support of the embassies of France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic and the United States of America and the Goethe Institute in Minsk.
