There are great reserves in the development of the services market in Belarus, BelTA quotes Vice Premier of Belarus Piotr Prokopovich from his visit to the Brest-based company Panda as part of the out session of the Business Promotion Council. The potential of the services market has yet to be tapped, believes the Vice Premier. In his words, there are opportunities for developing a rather broad range of services in Belarus, in particular, tourism services, consumer services, healthcare services, farm tourism and ecotourism services, hospitality business and other areas.
The opportunities are available but they are not exploited, noted Piotr Prokopovich. Private business should respond to the demand faster, he stressed. For instance, there is a certain demand for services of private children’s daycare centers but businessmen are unwilling to go for it.
