India eager to advance defense cooperation with Belarus

       India is interested in further advancement of cooperation with Belarus in defense matters, BelTA quotes Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Manoj Kumar Bharti.
      “Fruitful ties in economic, political, and defense spheres exist between India and Belarus. As for cooperation in defense sphere, certain schemes have been established, meetings between delegations of the countries and bilateral talks take place every year,” noted the Ambassador. In his words, India is interested in further promotion of cooperation with Belarus in this area. India is interested in Belarusian technologies and military hardware modernization opportunities. India uses Russian military hardware, which is modernized using the Belarusian side. “I can say with confidence that as long as there are armed forces, Belarus-India cooperation will continue,” stressed the Ambassador.
