Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency opens commercial office in Minsk

Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) opened a commercial office in Minsk, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry reports.

The opening of the KOTRA office in Minsk attests to the strengthening of the Belarusian-Korean relations and indicates serious intentions of the two countries to develop trade and economic relations. The BCCI confirmed its willingness to organize a business forum and a business matchmaking event for members of the Korean business delegation during a visit to Belarus scheduled for the second half of this year.

KOTRA is a non-profit government agency of the Republic of Korea. Cooperation between BCCI and KOTRA began in 2000. Since then, a series of joint activities have been held in Korea and Belarus. In 2007 during a visit of the Korean business delegation headed by KOTRA President the two organizations signed an agreement on cooperation. In July 2013 KOTRA appointed its regional representative in Belarus.
