Preparations for 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Minsk in full swing

The works are in full swing in the Belarusian capital to complete the construction of 11 hotels for the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship which is due in Minsk on 9-25 May, head of the consumer services and hospitality department of the Minsk City Hall Andrei Novikov told media, BelTA reports.

In his words, there is every reason to believe that Minsk hotels will demonstrate a high level of service during the world’s sport forum. “Our accommodation means have quite good rankings in the international booking systems,” the head of the department said.

In line with all the current requirements, Minsk hotels provide additional services such as laundry and ironing, dry-cleaning and clothes mending, shoeshine, car and equipment rent, beauty salon and spa services. The hotels will also provide access to the Internet via Wi-Fi. Special attention will be paid to the use of the IIHF WC logo and the distribution of the championship merchandise in compliance with the commercial rights of the stakeholders and the regulations of the competitions. The focus will be on office and confectionary products.
