Leader of the Belarusian biathlon team Darya Domracheva was awarded the gold medal of the Sochi Olympic Games for the victory in the women’s 10km pursuit. After the ceremony the champion spoke to media at the Sochi Olympic Park and said that she had already realized her success.
The Olympic champion devoted the victory to her mom.
Darya Domracheva has already resumed training. Warmer weather in Sochi made the snow at the Laura cross-country ski and biathlon center milder. The Belarusian expressed hope that the organizers will do their utmost to ensure comfortable conditions for the sportsmen.
Darya Domracheva won the women’s 10km pursuit gold at the Olympics on 11 February. This is her second Winter Olympics medal. Earlier she won 15km individual bronze in Vancouver in 2010.
