Belarusian Government approves national plan of action for Year of Hospitality

The Government of Belarus has approved the national plan of action for the Year of Hospitality that Belarus marks in 2014.

The plan includes more than 50 events and activities. Part of them pertains to the preparations for the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship 2014 in Minsk.

During the year, Belarus will hold the events to commemorate the 70th anniversary of liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. The new building and exposition of the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War is to open in July.

The Year of Hospitality will also feature such events as the 23rd International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk, Kupalie folk holiday, Dazhynki harvest festival, 21st Minsk International Film Festival Listapad, Belarusian Written Language and Literature Day, Belarusian International Media Forum, Doors Open Day at Belarusian country estates, the European scything championship. The campaign titled as Simple Things will continue to develop rural tourism.

In 2014, Belarus will participate in the international tourist fairs in Vilnius, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Berlin, Moscow, London, and Warsaw.
