Belarus, Uzbekistan discuss political, economic cooperation

         Belarus and Uzbekistan discussed bilateral political, trade and economic cooperation. The issue topped the agenda of the meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan Nikolai Klakevich and Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Komilov. The parties discussed mutual support in multilateral platforms. Nikolai Klakevich presented the copies of credentials to the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan.
         Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan were established on 21 January 1993. The Embassy of Belarus in Tashkent was opened in February 1994.
