Belarus, China to sign strategic partnership roadmap in early 2014

       Belarus-China all-round strategic partnership roadmap may be signed in early 2014, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Gong Jianwei said as he met with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko. He stressed that he had been able to achieve good results in political, trade, economic, sci-tech and other sectors. According to the diplomat, the draft roadmap is almost ready for signing:

        “We are working to sign the programme for further development of a strategic partnership between our countries at the relevant level. We are gearing up for the forthcoming visit of Belarusian Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich to China at the beginning of 2014. The road map will be signed during the visit.”

       In turn Vladimir Andreichenko congratulated the Ambassador on a successful completion of his diplomatic mission and stressed that Gong Jianwei had done a lot for the development of Belarus-China relations. The Chairman of the House of Representatives noted that Belarus applauds to China’s achievements, its hardworking and talented people thanks to whom the country has become one of the key players in the international arena:

        “You’ve done a lot to promote mutual trust and friendship between our countries. We have always felt the support of China, Chinese MPs in international organizations, international parliamentary organizations. And most importantly, the agreements reached between our countries at the highest level are being implemented.”
