The Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) has made a full recovery after Uralkali’s scandalous pullout and operates successfully now, BPC First Deputy Director General Alexander Polyakov told media. “In October the BPC met its delivery commitments in full and sold over 400,000 tonnes of potash fertilizers. The figure exceeds the sales of Belaruskali in 2012, i.e. October 2013 was better in terms of sales than October 2012 when the business was done jointly with Russian partners,” BPC Deputy Director General Konstantin Deduk said. The BPC has almost restored its share on the market. The company plans to expand the list of its clients next year. Not long ago supplies were resumed to India. The share of Belarusian potash fertilizers on the market of Myanmar has soared several times in recent months. The company is also set to become one of the top three potash suppliers on the Brazilian market. At present the BPC does not make any projections regarding possible resumption of cooperation with Uralkali. “An agreement between the Belarusian and Russian partners would be a positive outcome for the market. And we are ready for it,” Alexander Polyakov said.
