France interested in Belarus’ Chernobyl alleviation programs

       France is interested in the implementation of programs aimed at alleviating consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophe in Belarus as well as preparations for the 2014 world ice hockey championship. The matters were discussed at a meeting of representatives of the Belarusian and French foreign ministries.
The sides talked over the organization of joint events between the two foreign ministries soon, items on the bilateral agenda, in particular, trade, economic and investment cooperation as well as cooperation in education and culture.
        Close attention was paid to discussing prospects of advancing relations between Belarus and the European Union as well as preparations for holding the Eastern Partnership Initiative summit in Vilnius.
