The Eurasian Economic Commission and Armenia have signed a memorandum on enhancing cooperation. The document was inked by EEC Board Chairman Viktor Khristenko and Armenia Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan in Yerevan. “By doing it we have fulfilled the relevant decision of the presidents of the four countries,” Viktor Khristenko said at the signing ceremony. He remarked that the memorandum is needed to implement the intention and the declaration on joining the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space, which Armenia had made and which had been backed by all the presidents of the Customs Union member states.
In line with the document representatives of Armenia will be able to attend public sessions of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Economic Commission Council, and the Eurasian Economic Commission Board. Armenia has been granted the right to delegate a representative with the necessary powers to the Eurasian Economic Commission.
