Aleinik: Belarus’ foreign policy priorities remain unchanged

Belarus’ foreign policy priorities remain the same, newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik said as he was introduced to the staff of the ministry, BelTA has learned.

“I am sincerely grateful to the president for the trust. I realize that this is a huge responsibility. Yesterday, during the announcement of the appointment, Aleksandr Grigoryevich said that things would not be easy. And this is true. We are absolutely aware of this,” Sergei Aleinik emphasized.

The foreign minister drew attention to the fact that the world is now facing a fundamental change in the world order, an unprecedented geopolitical situation, and the revision of all the rules of international relations.

“The priorities of Belarus’ foreign policy remain unchanged. The main priority was clearly defined by the head of state - this is the preservation and strengthening of sovereignty, independence, the development of economic potential and the improvement of people’s living standards,” the minister of foreign affairs emphasized.

The new minister of foreign affairs was presented to the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko.
