Belarusian nuclear power plant secured against cyber attacks

Cyber attacks cannot affect the operation of the technological equipment of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. Head of the Information Security Department of the state enterprise Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant Aleksandr Olentsevich made the statement on the air of the Belarusian TV channel ONT, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Olentsevich said: “Special hardware and software solutions are utilized to detect malicious attacks, forestall them, and alleviate consequences.”

The official noted that the nuclear power plant system is designed and built in a way to rule out interference with control systems of the nuclear power plant. “Cyber attacks cannot affect the work of the technological equipment,” he assured.
