Lower houses of Belarus, Cambodia sign agreement on cooperation

        During his official visit to Cambodia Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko held talks with Chairman of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Cambodia Heng Samrin. The parties signed an agreement on cooperation between the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus and the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Talking to the Cambodian media, Vladimir Andreichenko stated that the goal of the document is to give impetus to the work on expanding the legal framework of the bilateral relations.
      Apart from that, while updating Cambodian reporters on the prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, Vladimir Andreichenko stressed that Belarus counts on a significant increase in trade turnover as the two countries still have a huge untapped potential. The Chairman of the House of Representatives called upon Cambodian partners to develop cooperation with Belarus, first of all in industrial and agricultural projects.
