Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko takes part in the Union State Supreme State Council session in Moscow.
The agenda of the meeting comprises more than ten items. The Supreme State Council considers the trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Russia in 2013-2014, top priority goals for the Union State development in 2014-2017. The meeting also focuses on the implementation of the foreign policy programs in 2014-2015. According to State Secretary Grigori Rapota, there are also important economic matters:

“Today Russia and Belarus, as well as the rest of the world, are experiencing certain economic difficulties, which require a new take and approach to the existing trade cooperation between our countries. This is one of the focuses of the talks. We will certainly look into what has to be done to assist each other in this unstable situation”.
